1. Be cautious when opening the big, tall monarch butterfly tent. After removing the elastic strap, the cube cage may pop open unexpectedly. Therefore, ensure that you have ample space and keep any fragile objects at a safe distance.

2. The PVC side of the net cage may have creases from folding. To remove these creases quickly, blow dry the PVC with a hairdryer for approximately 5 minutes or place it in the sun to relax the wrinkles.

3. Always close the cage door with the zippers meeting at the top center. This allows you to easily open the other side of the zipper if a caterpillar happens to be on one side.

4. In case of a disease outbreak or at the end of the season, clean the mesh cage by soaking it in a 5% bleach solution (19 parts water to 1 part bleach) for around 20 minutes. You can use a tub or laundry tub for this purpose.

5. Rinse the butterfly garden with water and let it sun dry. You can hang it on a clothesline or place a rock on the floor to prevent it from blowing away.

6. When folding the cage for storage, place your hands on opposite upper corners and press one corner to fold it flat.

7. Store the folded cage in a closet, under the bed, behind a couch, or any convenient location.
