Monarch Butterfly Habitat - Insect Mesh Cage (15.7 X 15.7 X 24 Inches)

This professional portable pop-up house is designed for rearing and breeding butterflies, praying mantis, and other bugs. The professional version of the butterfly enclosure is more square and sits straight without rocking or moving. When unfolded, the pavilion measures 15.7 x 15.7 x 24 inches.

The butterfly growing kits package includes 1 Butterfly Habitat Terrarium and 1 quick start guide manual. Instructions for use are as follows:

1. Be careful when opening the Big, Tall monarch butterfly tents. After slipping off the elastic strap from around the circle, the cube cage can pop open unexpectedly. Ensure that you have plenty of space and no breakable objects nearby.

2. After opening the net cage, the PVC side may be creased from folding. Remove the creases by blow-drying the PVC with a hair dryer for about 5 minutes or by placing the PVC toward warm sun to relax wrinkles.

3. Always close the cage door so the zippers meet at the top center. This will allow you to zip down the other side to open if a caterpillar is on the zipper.

4. Clean the mesh cage after a disease outbreak or at the season's end by soaking it in a 5% bleach solution (19 parts water to 1 part bleach) for about 20 minutes.

5. Rinse the butterfly garden with water and then let it sun dry - hang it on a clothesline or put a rock on the floor to prevent it from blowing away.

6. When folding the cage for storage, place your hands on opposite upper corners of the cage and press one corner to fold the cage flat.

7. Store the cage flat in a closet, under a bed, behind a couch, etc.

The butterfly enclosure features two side opening doors (Door and Drawbridge opening doors) for easier feeding of your butterflies and easier cleaning of the frass. It also has a polyester bottom for easier cleaning. Please note that the tubes and rack are not included.

There are five mesh panels for good airflow and a clear vinyl window panel for students and families to watch caterpillars change into chrysalides and then emerge as beautiful Monarch, Painted Lady, or Black Swallowtail Butterflies.

The collapsible design is for easy storage and reuse. The unfolded measurements are 15.7 x 15.7 x 24 inches. It is tall and wide, able to hold two large milkweed plants. The large zipper side opening allows for easy feeding of your butterflies, and then you can release them into the wild. Butterflies will often land on little hands and faces before flying away.
